A native of Gasparillo, Mr. Francis is celebrated as an accomplished playwright, actor, director, and author, whose dedication to cultural preservation and innovation has been evident in his contributions to iconic events like the Best Village competition and the Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival. Known for his powerful storytelling and artistic vision, Mr. Francis plays a leading role each year in the beloved reenactment of the Canboulay Riots, an event that embodies his dedication to honoring Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural legacy.

His creative achievements extend beyond the stage. As a playwright and director, Mr. Francis has crafted numerous plays for Best Village, and his award-winning short film, My Sister’s Keeper, showcases Caribbean narratives through a powerful cinematic lens. His literary work includes his first novel, Children of the Eternal Mother, a Caribbean epic fantasy that captures his unique voice and imaginative reach.
