Our goal is to make the Naparima Bowl a true centre for the arts. A place where artists can be supported and encouraged to pursue their dreams and where the community can access the beauty and truth that the arts can provide to enjoy and enrich their lives.
We’re working to establish the Naparima Bowl as a premier arts centre that will be the forum for the expression and celebration of culture”.
The main auditorium of the Naparima Bowl features a 500-seat theatre in the classic arena style. The theatre boasts some of the country’s best acoustics and near-perfect sight lines from any seat. Also contained in the Bowl, is an orchestra pit, which can accommodate a forty-piece ensemble. It hosts one of the best professional audio systems in Trinidad and Tobago as cited by the Audio Engineering Society (AES) of the United States. The lighting and multimedia systems are equipped to bring to life high-quality creative concepts and designs suitable to any production.
The courtyard, set amid meticulously manicured grounds, provides a space for fetes, weddings, parties, trade fairs, dinner theatre, and other niche events. The open-air venue can accommodate tents, cocktail tables, buffet stations, a small stage, and décor to accentuate its natural surroundings. The use of the courtyard gives producers access to the kitchen and the ‘Bowl Face’ Courtyard Café.
The amphitheatre is the only one of its kind in the country. It boasts open-air seating for approximately 1,500 – 2,000 patrons in an acoustically spectacular environment. It harkens back to the days of classical Greek and Roman theatre. The amphitheatre can host a wide range of events. It is the ideal location for innovative productions, fashion shows, and pageants. It also suits film and television shoots.
